City Associations

  • Latin American Law Enforcement Association – LA LEY’s mission is to enhance the effectiveness of all LAPD employees and to improve the Department’s relationship with the community by developing our employees, networking with all aspects of the community, protecting the rights of others and promoting camaraderie through our social activities.
  • Los Angeles Association of Black Personnel (LAABP) – Our mission is to motivate, encourage, and educate individuals, to realize their dreams and move forward in their careers within City government. We join the many employees organizations as we face the challenges of today and tomorrow. We continue our efforts to ensure fairness and equal opportunity. Together we can accomplish what none of us can do alone.
  • Water and Power African American Association (WPAAA) – The mission of WPAAA is to strengthen the foundation of African American employees at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power by advancing the employment, economic and social welfare of its members and the community.
  • The Oscar Joel Bryant Foundation – Launched in 1968, The Oscar Joel Bryant Foundation (OJB) represents African American officers and civilian employees who proudly serve the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and other law enforcement agencies throughout the county.
  • The Los Angeles City Employee Asian American Association (LACEAAA) – This is the official Facebook page for LACEAAA.
  • The Los Angeles Filipino Association of City Employees (LAFACE) – To extend assistance to any organization in promoting the economic, social, cultural, and educational advancement of Filipinos in the community.
    To foster the advancement of Filipinos and other minorities in City service and in other fields and shall cooperate with other minority groups towards achieving this goal.

County Associations

  • Los Angeles County Chicano Association – Thank you for your interest in the Los Angeles County Chicano Employees Association (LACCEA), which has been fighting for its members and the Latino community since 1969. LACCEA provides legal representation of the highest quality to our members in areas involving County policy, promotions, discipline, and administrative proceedings.
  • Los Angeles County Asian American Employee Association – LACAAEA was established in the 1970s. Currently, it consists of nine Board Officers and has more than 400 members.  One of the primary functions of our association is to give members opportunity to network and interact with other members and guests, including senior county management.
  • Los Angeles County African American Employee Association – This association was founded in 2009.  We are an officially recognized Los Angeles County Employee Association.  We are a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt non-profit organization with a Federal Tax ID.  We are the official sponsors of the Los Angeles County Black History Month Celebration, held each year on the last Thursday of February in the Hearing Room of the Board of Supervisors.

National Associations

  • National Asian Peace Officers’ Association – The National Asian Peace Officers’ Association-commonly abbreviated as NAPOA, is a nation-wide organization for members of the law enforcement community who identify-with or share-interest-in Asian culture/heritage. NAPOA also acts as an umbrella organization for regional, state, and local groups that similarly find common ground in their Asian identity.

Family Services

  • LatinoLA.com – Celebrating the voices, lives, and souls of Latinos since 1999.
  • Mexican American Opportunity Foundation – The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) is a non-profit, community-based organization that was established in 1963 in order to serve disadvantaged individuals and families in the Los Angeles area. MAOF is the largest Latino-oriented, family services organization in the United States, and has achieved this status by providing high quality social services and programs to those communities where the need is the greatest.

Business Services

  • Latin Business Association – The Latin Business Association (LBA), a 501(c)(6) private non-profit organization established in 1976, is one of the nation’s most active Latin business trade associations on the basis of active membership and overall outreach to its member business owners. The LBA is the only organization that truly represents over 800,000 Latin businesses in California.
